In this guide

The App Store is the only place to get Shadowrocket. Before your first purchase, verify the developer, official icon, and app ID, then confirm payment as prompted by the store. If you switch devices or reinstall the app, check your original account’s purchase history first. This guide covers first-time purchases and redownloading, and explains the difference between buying the app, completing its download, and setting up a connection.

Before You Buy: Check Your Device, Account, and What’s Included

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app for Apple platforms, primarily used on iPhone and iPad. Compatibility with Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision is also listed in the App Store product page’s compatibility section. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. Don’t assume compatibility based on a device name alone; open the product page on the device you plan to use.

The app is a one-time purchase. You’re buying a license to use the app, not a network service: purchasing the app does not include a service plan. Get any subscription you need from your service provider, and check its cost, term, and connection details separately from the app purchase. If you haven’t set up a configuration yet, you can verify the App Store listing first without enabling a connection.

Verify the App: Check the Developer, Icon, and App ID

Search the App Store for the exact name Shadowrocket. Search result rankings don’t verify an app’s identity, and a similar name doesn’t mean it’s the same app. Open the product page and confirm the developer is Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Also check for the official rocket icon on a white background with a blue-purple outline.

The app ID is a more precise way to identify the app than its name. The product URL contains id932747118; id is part of the App Store URL, not an activation code to enter in the app. You can open the product page directly from our App verification page rather than relying on icon similarity alone.

Bottom line: If any details don’t match, stop before paying

Return to the App verification page and reopen the product listing. Confirm that both the developer and app ID match before checking the price and proceeding. Don’t rely on search rankings or a similar-looking icon as a substitute for verification.

First Purchase: Four Steps from Search to Download

These steps focus on the App Store on iPhone and iPad. Store labels vary with the system language; English interface terms are included here for reference. Payment verification depends on your device and account settings, so follow the prompts shown on your device. You can go back and check the details before confirming your purchase. You don’t need to enter payment information in Shadowrocket beforehand.

  1. Find the app

Open the App Store and tap Search. Enter Shadowrocket, then open its product page. If it doesn’t appear in search, check the spelling and open the product link from our App verification page.

  2. Check the listing

Verify the developer, Shadow Launch Technology Limited, the official icon, and app ID 932747118. Then check compatibility, price, and currency. Refer to the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility.

  3. Confirm your purchase

Tap the price button on the product page. Check the app name and amount again in the system purchase confirmation, then follow the prompts to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or account verification. If payment fails, first resolve the issue described by the App Store.

  4. Wait for the download

Keep your device connected to the App Store and wait for the download to finish. When the product page shows Open, tap it. You can also open the app from your Home Screen and confirm that Home loads.

Payment confirmation and download completion are separate steps. If the purchase is recorded but the app is still waiting or downloading, check available storage, your network, and any App Store alerts before trying anything else. Open means the app is installed; it doesn’t mean a subscription has been imported or a connection has been established.

Redownload from Purchases After Switching Devices or Deleting the App

To redownload Shadowrocket, find the Apple Account used for the original purchase. The account used for other services on your device may differ from your App Store purchase account, so check the account page and purchase history in the App Store. If the product page shows a price, don’t assume your previous purchase is gone; first check that you’re using the original account.

  1. Open the App Store, tap your account profile, and make sure you’re signed in to the account used for the original purchase.
  2. On your account page, go to Apps → My Apps and look for Shadowrocket. Some system versions show this section as Purchased; use the label displayed on your screen to open your purchase list.
  3. Find Shadowrocket, verify the product details, then tap the cloud download button and wait for installation to finish.
  4. If Shadowrocket isn’t in your purchase list, check your purchase history and hidden purchases. You can also search for the product page and see whether it shows Open, a cloud download button, or a price.

If you’ve confirmed the purchase account and history but still can’t redownload the app, note the exact message shown in the store and contact support through the App Store account and purchases section. Share only the information needed to describe the issue. Don’t disclose account credentials, payment details, or unredacted receipts that contain personal information.

First Launch: Check Your Connection Setup After Installation

Use Home to view and manage connection profiles, Config to manage configuration files, and Settings to adjust app preferences. You can browse these screens after opening the app for the first time. iOS typically asks for VPN permission when you try to enable a connection or perform a related action. Make sure the request was initiated by Shadowrocket, then follow the system prompts.

Get your subscription from your service provider, then import and check it using the server management guide. Don’t enter a server address, port, or password at random just because you’ve purchased the app. After importing, verify that the protocol and settings match your provider’s requirements. Troubleshoot connection issues separately from App Store download issues.

Home → Global Routing controls how connection traffic is handled. The options below describe Shadowrocket’s routing settings, not purchase tiers; none of them provides a connection service. Proxy and direct connections here refer only to traffic handled by the app.

Config

Recommended

Use the active configuration’s rules to determine how traffic is handled. Rules can specify actions such as PROXY, DIRECT, or REJECT. First check that Config has the intended configuration enabled; don’t assume traffic that doesn’t match a rule will automatically connect directly.

Best for: Everyday use with rules you’ve already prepared and checked

Proxy

Send traffic handled by the app through the proxy path instead of routing it according to the usual Config rules. You’ll still need an available connection profile to use this setting for a temporary check. Switching to Proxy doesn’t fill in missing service details.

Best for: Temporarily checking whether a routing rule is causing an issue

Direct

Connect traffic handled by the app directly to its destination, without using the proxy path. Even if the app’s connection switch is on, that alone doesn’t mean traffic is going through a proxy. Check Global Routing as well.

Best for: Comparing direct connections over your local network

Scene in Global Routing selects routes based on configured scenarios. Check your existing scene settings; it isn’t a fixed default that comes with a purchase. Settings → On Demand controls when connections start automatically and has nothing to do with payment or redownloading. For your first check, test the connection manually, then configure On Demand if needed. Changing several settings at once can make issues harder to identify.

App Store Purchase and Download FAQs

Can’t find Shadowrocket in the App Store?

Check the spelling, then open the App Store product page from our App verification page. If the store says the app isn’t available, check which store your account is using and whether your device is compatible, then follow the store’s guidance. Not finding it in search doesn’t mean you should choose an app with a similar name.

Why am I seeing a price if I’ve bought it before?

Open your App Store account page and check that you’re signed in to the original purchase account. Then check your Apps or Purchased list and purchase history. Don’t confirm another payment until you know what happened. If the purchase appears in your history but its status looks wrong, contact support through the App Store purchases section.

My payment went through, but the download hasn’t started. What should I do?

First confirm that the purchase appears in your history. Then check your device’s available storage and whether your network can access the App Store. Check the download button or app icon on your Home Screen and follow any App Store prompts. Handle purchase issues in the store; changing Global Routing in the app won’t resolve them.

I opened the app after buying it, but there’s no connection profile. Did the purchase fail?

No. Being able to open the app and having a connection configuration are two separate things. Check your purchase status in the App Store, then get your existing subscription from your service provider and import it according to their instructions. Don’t share your subscription link publicly; it may contain credentials tied to your service account.
